Lazy Lizard The Promenade

Visited on wed lunch, 25/05. Friendly and attentive staff who does follow up to check on how we think of the food. Lunch promo is value for money, each mains/ pasta/ pizza comes with Soup of the day (mushroom soup is thick and has hints of truffle taste) and a drink. Food portion is big, esp the pizza. Comfortable ambience to catch up with friends.

Ambience is relatively nice and relaxing. But that's about it. Visited at 6.30pm, only one table was occupied. There was a staff cleaning the floor and was aware of my presence but did not provide any acknowledgment. Food is over priced in my opinion. The mushroom soup ($9.80) was accompanied by a slice of garlic bread, which only looked like a garlic bread but has no scent of garlic at all. Truffle fries is mediocre, with mild truffle taste. Probably a good place to drink instead of dining at. Unlikely to return in the near future though

It’s been awhile since I wrote a review, but tonight, The Lazy Lizard @ The Promenade deserved to be acknowledged. Sunday 6pm the crowd was slow coming so we had our choice seats. My wife had the oxtail the last time but it wasn’t in the menu this time nevertheless as you can see from the photos, the dishes didn’t disappoint. The chicken leg was tender and the ‘chilli crab’ sauce that came with it added a nice stink to it. I ordered a root beer float and it came with one scoop of ice cream. We told the waitress and she came back with an extra scoop on the house!😀 I’m sure we’re not just hungry, but when we left, all our plates were shiny!😆Next time I need to try on the pork ribs n fish n chips 😎

The food is great! Tried the “Rack of Pork” The thick piece of pork was surprisingly tender, not fatty, but with a juicy melt in the month. Definitely worth the wait, and lunch time is a bonus with soup and drinks bundle. The “Gochujang Pork Burger” is also offering a huge portion, recommended for the hungry bunch.. hehe. Meat is tender, the sauces are fine, no complains only compliments!

Hidden Gem! The restaurant is secretly tucked away from the crowd. Not within your usual popular mall but in a secluded heartland mall around the landed properties. Unless you stay nearby, you could easily miss this restaurant. You might need to have transport access to get here. The decor is in a simple, casual pub setting. During the day, you can easily bring your family or friends for nice beers and a nice meal. A nice place to enjoy quiet meals. Their dish portion is a in good size , enough for an adult, or order a few to share with your group. We order an all-day breakfast and rack of pork, the dishes are beautifully done and we enjoyed it so much. We had a little hiccup on the use of our voucher, but the server was extremely helpful and certainly left us a great impression. Great food and a big plus with good service. Highly recommended.
