Happy Tummy

I don’t post about it much but between fancy, heavy meals, I hanker for simple flavours and fresh, healthy options. Like my friends and I were saying over dinner recently, it is important to strike a balance. @simplywrapps at Raffles City is one spot I head to when I am in the mood and in the area. The Classic Greek with a hard-boiled egg as an add-on is my usual, but I enjoy building a wrap from scratch as well. And when I do, tuna is always the protein of choice. The resulting bolster is never not humumgous, so I ask for it to be cut in half, to be eaten in two parts.

Affordable but quality isn’t good. I’ve definitely had better salad around the same price point. The lettuce is crunchy but the Grilled Chicken Teriyaki is stale and tasted like it was heated in a microwave from yesterday’s leftover. The service too wasn’t great as they just keep ringing the bell and shout when your salad is ready. I think they should at least have a “buzzer”. Even hawker centers have those already or maybe a number they can call. The tables are not clean as well.

I love the concept. Some of the items are ok, some are not so good. I order "GRILLED RIB-EYE" for $12.50, there are tons of lettuce inside, poached egg is small, the dressing is PLAIN, the RIB EYE BEEF is dry and hard and not much seasoning. Suggestion, improve how you make your rib eye beef, give us 2 dressing option, put more other veg inside (not just tons of lettuce)

When purchasing I noticed the staff touched surfaces and other parts of the kitchen as well as the food directly while wearing gloves. Wearing gloves does not equate to the fact you can touch everything and then touch the food. It’s one step away from food poisoning on a bad day. Staff need to be sent for food safety handling courses. I heated up my food, hope nothing happens to me.

Am not leaving a bad review for the taste. Am leaving a bad review for the experience, you take 10 mins on one customer on an average. 3 customers literally took 23 mins. How you making money is a big question, It shouldn't be considered as making a statement if you are having spiral queues in front of the shop. You lack vision, prespective and importantly empathy for customers. I wouldn't have been able to guess 3 customers would take 23 mins to be served my bad 😅

The food was not as tasty as I expected, and on top of that, the staff service was terrible. The staff that is taking orders and making the salad was very rude and kept ignoring his fellow staff and the customers. The staff that is taking payment kept mumbling, so we could barely hear her, and she was very reluctant to give us the receipt. The staff taking orders also only suggested the large size and did not mention there was a regular size, hence, we paid $3 extra and couldn't even finish our meal. Overall I didn't enjoy my meal there.

Freshness of salad and sides are good! Service is decent. *Went during mid afternoon. Quite a variety of sides to choose from. Can order in wrap or just pure salad form (I chose the latter) with 6 regular to choose from. Meat or more expensive items (ur tuna/ avocado)requires top up. Another way to order is their menu where ingredients are pre-fixed. Saw breakfast and tea time sets too. I booked with Eatigo for good deal!!
