Everywhere in Nex is so crowded even on off peak timing and on weekday. Looking for something light and coffee so this is the only place that is empty and quiet. Saw some bad reviews here but surprisingly what I had were quite good. Coffee was okay, soon kueh was fresh and the skin was chewy. Lotus paste pau not too sweet. Light sauce chee cheong fan was good as not too salty or sweet. Staff were all good and the cashier aunty was very friendly. Alot of people actually came and take away. The take away was almost non stop during while I dine in.

It is ridiculous that the shop raised the prices of their buns and dim sum by so much all of a sudden. The veg bun (cai bao) was $1.60 not long ago and I was shocked that the shop lady told me to pay $2.00 for it yesterday on CNY eve! When I asked why did they increase the price of the cai bao by $0.40 overnight, the lady told me rudely that was because Mang Gwang was very expensive now.
I am likely to stop going Ho Kee Pau shop anymore!

Definitely not my first choice.
Big pau which is smaller than others is not tasty at all.
The char siew pau taste ok 👌
The rest of the fried food is cold and stale.
They use paper plate which look like "offering"
It's not cheap either

Bought 4 char siew pau. The first one was good but the other three definitely gone bad. The filling was sour and definitely not fresh.

Their ming xia jiao used to be my favourite, it was hot and filled with the umami taste of shrimp. To my surprise the portion size is now half of last time (same price). Sigh...

Bought almost $30 of chicken pau and char siew pau and 2 types of dim sum yesterday. The chicken pau skin was 2cm thick and the filling was miserable and tasteless. Cost $2 each. It's better to eat bun bread which is cheaper and nicer. No standard at all. Will never patronise again.

Their pau cannot make it. A lot of fatty meat, no quality and still charge at premium price. Tasted like those mass production factory pau in coffee shop. Bought once and never return to buy anymore, even if I crave for pau. They should be closing down not Tanglin Teck Kee Pau.
