L. W. Cake Shop

A neighbourhood bakery shop right next to 85 Fengshan Food Centre, serving old school cream cake slices in various colourful buttercream decoration. My favourites are always the peanuts and chocolate sprinkles. Ate it fresh at room temperature, soft and creamy. Left them in refrigerator and had it the next day chilled, very yummy too! Heard that their Swiss rolls and other items are good too.

Old traditional taste. Many times it is not their standard dropped but our expectations have changed with time. To me, I still love and value traditional 古早味. Simply enjoying memory flashbacks while eating their cakes. Those days many boxes of weddings and engagements cakes were given to relatives, friends and neighbours to celebrate the joyous occasions. A piece of cake in those days was already a luxury. Heavenly 🍰🎂

One of my old favourites but not anymore. Standards have dropped tremendously. The kaya cake was next to tasteless and dry, fruit cake was dry... I used to love their soft and fluffy bread in their ham sandwiches from more than 2 decades ago but they don't have those anymore. Now i really wonder how they are still surviving. Their price is not cheap either compared to some of the bakeries at bedok central area.
