Basil Thai Kitchen

Food was par level to me, could have done better. Service was worst except for 1 chubby waitress a thai lady name AYU Ordered the clear seafood tom yum, mixed vege, steam seabass and a sticky rice mango. The seafood tom yum requested for less spicy. However it was too spicy. Told the manager the tall indian guy, about it. He just took it away without informing us, and return 7 mins later with the same bowl of soup. Body language and expression wasn’t happy. Halfway thru our meal the manager asked, if he could bring our dessert? Told him later as we are still having our meal. 5mins later he just place our dessert on the table, while we are still eating our main dish. I don’t understand is why do you rush your customer? It is only 8pm and your manager are chasing your customer away. Is he rushing to cross over the causeway? The management need to do something about the manager. Pls have the kitchen staff or service staff to have a taste of your sticky rice mango before serving to customer. The sticky rice was tasteless the mango was sour. I visited lots of thai restaurant, their sticky rice mango is far better than yours. Definitely will not recommend to anyone and definitely will not come back. 1.5 stars for food and service.

The service was excellent but I think the restaurant needs to reflect on the kind of food they are serving to their customers. The fish cakes were soggy. Chicken olive rice and beef noodles were bland. The only saving grace was their Tom yum seafood soup. The three stars are for their staff who were helpful and friendly.
