Happenstance Cafe

Ordered the thick toast with ice cream but it took around 30 minutes to come, which was after everyone else on my table had received and finished their food. Coffee was not bad. sitting is a little tight and can be pretty packed with all the dog owners over the weekend. Do remember to make reservation before coming as it is quite difficult to to get a last minute table here.

It is a great spot for the furry friends to mingle but not the most ideal place for the humans (in terms of food). I came here twice to chill out with my sister and her dog. If I am paying $18 for my Unagi rice, I expected the unagi to be covering at least half of the bowl on the surface. But my unagi was well hidden inside and let's just say that they are bits n pieces that combined to about an inch and a half size. Carbonara pasta was merely edible after adding Tabasco sauce. The cornflakes chicken waffle is a dish that is refreshing to me. However, the first few mouth were too overwhelming for me. The chicken is covered with lots of cornflakes. It's too oily for my palate. The sweet smelling aroma that ended with a bad taste in the mouth got me even more disappointed. Waffle at Prima deli is even way more delicious than this. The seafood baked rice picture on the menu has salmon in it. We were deceived by it. When it came, it was practically baked rice with a few of mussels. And it tasted better with Tabasco. Even the only presentable decent one was the chicken katsu rice. Even then the rice is not fragrant for that price that we pay for. Try it for yourself and be your own judge. I have a high benchmark for food so I am definitely not going to come here for a meal. But I wouldn't mind sipping a cup of coffee watching our furry friends mingle. Despite the taste of the food, this cafe makes a good chill out place with your furry friends. Especially on weekends, when there are more people in the cafe, it makes a good boundary where the furry friends can mingle.

I visited happenstance twice awhile ago , I have very good impression on them, but now when I revisited today , I felt so disappointed on both the menu change as well as the hygiene on the place . The bin on the toilet was so full that people starts throwing the tissue on the floor which I took pic on , the water that cleans the urine when ur paw kid dirty , I felt like asking them has they not change the water for 1week? The water is so muddy and black and it stings !! I will not visit them again, it's a total upset and I'm worry for the hygiene for my dog . And I felt the staff is so free they actually sit around talking instead of clearing the bin and changing the water .

The cafe is clean but abit cramp for big dog to move. The interiors design is nice and bright, good for take some nice photo with your dog. The foods and drinks is nice, but the choices for dog is abit less. Overall is a good place to spend time with your dog. Just remember to make reservation for weekend.
