Deli Jie Fish Head Steamboat

Deli(Jie)fish head steamboat is one of the most generous fish soup stall I have dined in. The slice fishes goes well with the chilli sauce that's has a sour and sweet taste. From the bowl you can see the portion of how much the amount of cabbages and fishes are. It's unique for them to add fried yam into the fish soup. However, not all would like it so some have requested not to add yam into it. The fish soup itself is nice to drink as well. Rice is soft and I like to add the fish soup to the rice while eating it. Stall aunty is very hardworking and serves us with delight. It's located at one of the corner of Whampoa Food Center.

Fish head soup, at $15 per bowl. Reasonably tasty, did not suffer from after effects of MSG and plenty of fresh fish. Soup was thick and fishy but not in a bad sense. However, they should invest a bit more time to remove the scales thoroughly since mere humans like us cannot digest fish scales nor derive any nutrition from the fish scales. Will give another try another time to be able to consider consistency.

I usually avoid giving 1 star to food places because everyone needs to earn a decent living. A bad review will affects biz but the fish steamboat is just a fish soup put in a big pot. The fish portion is pathetic. Our usual fish steamboat place had run out of fish so we decided to give this random place a chance. It was a big mistake. Better of eating other places

Dun order from the china woman. GAVE her $50 when she set up the table with bowels and chiliis after we ordered. Once the fish head steamboat was served, she claimed we have not paid her and started to raise her voice on us. This china lady ask me to swear or file the police report . VERY DISHONESTY STALL.
