Royal London Duck

This is the worst place for duck that I have ever been and in all fairness, the restaurant had been totally taken over by a new restaurant known as the Dining Place. This change of takeover as per understanding, was of months back but on goggle website, it was still under the old organisation of Royal London Duck. We had such lovely roasted duck and roasted meats at previous Royal London duck restaurant hence last Wednesday, with a crave for duck, I suggested we go back to this restaurant. As we came to the original restaurant in Mandarin Gallery, we realised the restaurant had been taken over by the Dining Place. However, with my crave, unsatisfied, I goggled and wanted to find another outlet of Royal London duck and was so happy to find that the restaurant is listed in Centrepoint. We made a beeline to Centrepoint, upon arrival, I realised the restaurant is no longer Royal London duck too. It is of the Dining Place. Nevertheless, I felt maybe it was just a renaming process as goggle indicates the restaurant as Royal London duck hence it should still be of the same organisation and dishes would be just as great. How very wrong I was... I felt totally cheated by the food they served and the misleading listing on goggle. The serving staff was totally enthusiastic about recommending their dishes and we were sold on her recommendations. We had a quarter duck, collagen based noodles, roasted pork belly and seafood tofu. At the start of ordering, we should have taken the hint that dinner will be bad. My Friend was taken in by their poster picture on a salted egg fried bitter gourd tofu advertised boldly on the pillar of the restaurant. When we asked for that dish, the staff informed the dish is not of salted egg, but of ordinary chicken egg, as there is a printing error on the poster. She further add on that anyway the dish will not appear as in the poster. They are totally different. You can imagine how shocked we were with her honesty. Anyway, it went totally downhill to the pits from the time order were placed to the serving of the dishes. The roasted duck was not evenly roasted and totally dry. I would have better duck served in the coffee shop at my place. The Claypot seafood tofu was totally tasteless and I cannot even describe what collagen base wanton noodles we were served. The dishes were totally disappointing and such great dismay. The saving grace can be of the roasted pork belly but with the vinegar dressing was an "acquired" taste. We gave our honest opinion of disappointment to the serving staff when she asked on the food and to our horror, she related our disappointment to the manager on duty that day, but she just tell her to let us be. I cannot imagine how this new organisation can survive with such bad food and resistant to improve when feedbacks are given. Please do not visit this restaurant at all.. my money would be well spent elsewhere.

The name! Please don't call London duck, Ah Siong duck would be a more fitting name. The taste is exactly what you would get from a food court meal. Under staffed, your request simply fall on deaf ears. Half of menu are not available at 630pm in the evening. I tested it for you, so u don't need to think of trying.
