Ice Cube Cafe Bedok Library

My rating: 4/5 What I like in libraries: Books that are available that I originally have on my online To-Be-Read (TBR). Spacious environments. Multiple book genres. To find the Bedok library, you'll have to go to the third level to see it. When I first entered the library there was a certain smell to it, like it was brand new. This was my first time coming to the Bedok library so I did want to like it, but the very first minutes of walking through the library, I was unsure if I was going to like it. At first (I went to the right after entering) I saw many seats and I thought that was good because if you found a book and a good book then you could sit down for a while and not have to worry about other people not getting seats either. There were magazines, comics, and manga/anime. I was a bit curious to see the manga/anime because I haven't seen that in libraries before (even though I don't read manga/anime) . They had a good section/selection for people that liked manga/anime. Once I had kept walking after going to the right, I started seeing more people and seats. I also saw a section for adult fiction, which is one of my favorites, so I was happy to see it. They also had a good 4+ shelves of Adult Fiction (which I was excited to check out.) Overall, I was happily surprised to see that I rather enjoyed the library and would recommend the library to people that like there to be more space to sit, manga/anime, and Adult Fiction books.

Bedok Public Library at Heartbeat@Bedok Bedok Public Library occupies the second and third levels at Heartbeat  @  Bedok, and is home to a collection of almost 200,000 books, over 300 magazine titles and 13,000 audio-visual items. The library’s location gives it a unique opportunity to work with other agencies housed in Heartbeat @ Bedok. After all, the integrated complex was built with the aim to deliver services to nearby residents. Amazing =)

If you can't find a decent place to take a short nap like an hour to two, please come over to the Bedok Public Library. They provide free air-con and nice soft sofa chairs. Well, if you happen to dose off for more than 2 hours or till close to closing time, just feel free! They are open from 10am to 9pm daily. Well.... except public holidays though, you'll have to find your alternate place to sleep then. Want to find a decent chair to just sit down and read a magazine is just soooooo....difficult. Mostly occupied by seniors sleeping in the sofa chairs. Some even cover their heads to block out the lights! Worst, the librarians don't even bother to wake them up. Omg!
