Houson Herbal Braised Duck

While waiting for the Banh Mi from the nearby Banh Mi Baguette (BLYS), saw lots of people buying from this stall. So many people cannot be wrong. Checked out the google review and it has 4.3 stars! Big Data should be correct so tried it out. Since already ordered 2 banh mi cannot order much more. Just ordered a plate of kway chap for 1 person which cost $4. Wow! Nice! The small intestines is chewy and infused with flavor. A good kway chap to me must have good small intestines :). The pork belly has deep flavor, soft but not disintegrating. There is still some bit to it. Overall very nice! Can go again!

Was introduced by a friend to try this and oh did it disappoint. While the rice was brown as though it was cooked with the braised sauce, it tasted like white rice and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you were blind folded. There was also nothing particularly outstanding for the duck, liver, egg and tofu. I think the best item for the day was actually the soup that accompanied the set.

Staff is very friendly, and food is cheap. The young man taking the order is very professional and polite. I will not say that this is the best duck rice I had but its popular probably because it is the only braised duck rice around this neighborhood. But I will definitely visit again when I’m in the area.
