Emicakes

Emicakes is a cake store that lives in the past. My colleague bought an ondeh ondeh cake from them yesterday for a birthday. The cake was hard in the middle, which we understood that it could've been frozen. However after keeping the cake in the fridge till the next morning, yes the sponge area had defrosted, but there were layers of 'hard gelatin layers' left which were inedible. We had no expectations when we heard the shop of choice to purchase the cake from, but this is really unacceptable. Pretty sure my 3-legged blind dog can bake better than this.

I ordered a premium mango cake from here, but it was very unsatisfactory. There was so much artificial colouring in it, that even after washing our hands with soap there was still yellow-orangish colour left our fingers. Even the utensils are left yellow. Everyone was disappointed. There should NOT be this much colouring in the food we eat, it is clearly unhealthy.
