Qi Ji

Nice outlet with quality food. The lontong dish is rather nice, especially the sayur lodeh which is very fragrant and well made. The rice cake however is rather mashed and sticky so the taste wasn’t fantastic. The chicken wings looks nice on the outside but was too cold when served and the inside didn’t seemed too well cooked. The rest of the dishes like the prawn laksa are generally decent too.

Good quality food especially the Laksa which has lots of ingredients. Mee rebus gravy was delicious but the dish needs more ingredients than just one boiled egg. Mee Siam also needs more ingredients. Popiah was ok. This outlet is extremely busy with lots of takeaways so be prepared to queue to place your order and wait a long time for orders to be fulfilled.

Without putting up signs or assigning a service attendant at the entrance to guide the customer, how do they expect customer to know that they have to order first before looking for a table. Was there with my pregnant wife, seeing that with a long queue at the counter but got empty seat, i told my wife to go sit down at the last empty seat while i queue to order. Then suddenly the lady at the counter shouted across the hall and say to my wife that she should order first before sitting down. But it seems like no logic to us as "what if we ordered and food is ready, but no seats for us. What should we do?" so looking at no solution for us, we left the place for other option. Management of Qi Ji at tampines hub should really look into getting more staffs if they shorthanded or look into how they should tackle this issue.

The Chinese man at the cashier taking order who looks like Malay, and skinny, just gave us the wrong popiah eventhough he was very well aware that it was the wrong order. We waited for such a long time but our number was not called because our order had been given to another customer. We requested for NO CHILLI popiah but when we reached home, it was so spicy! We cannot take chili! And for the person who took our popiah, it may not taste nice without chilli for that customer. Seeing that we had been waiting for long, he waved us to come pick up the popiah. He very quickly threw away the order number receipt in the plastic bag and passed us the popiah so we cannot check if it is correct until we eat it at home. If he already know he made a mistake, he should have made another for the customer and not just give us the wrong order. That is so unprofessional!!!

Very Disappointed experience. I have entered and sat on the seats before other else. But the Staff instructed me to gave up the seat to other who was lated, but ordered before me. Suddenly there were no else seat available and I have to cancelled my order reluctantly. The problem is that, there is no any signboard indicates, or staffs inform that the order must be placed before customers take the seat. No At All. Very Disappointed, do not even deserve one star.
