A Japanese restaurant focusing on kappo in a more modern way. Fusing traditional and innovative recipes and ingredients, the menu here hits the spot for a casual and cozy share-with-friends kind of meal. The menu overall is still rooted in japanese flavors but with the fusion ingredients and some cooking methods, it makes it much more modern. They serve small appetizers and sharing plates all the way to rice bowls, sukiyaki, pastas, noodles; a la carte style and tasting menus! Overall, i really enjoyed my meal- all the dishes were delicious. The cold somen was so refreshing (yet umami and not oily) and was filled with truffle aroma! Like no joke this place does not hold back: they gave us so much truffle on top (more than michelin restos!) The sando bread was crunchy on the outside but soft and airy inside de super good textures! All the ingredients were fresh and well made i can definitely repeat again for a casual weekday lunch. (One off feeling i had about this place was the service. I went at opening time so the service wasnt busy (luckily) but the staff wasnt so friendly or attentive. I can imagine it can be worst if it is during busy hours 😖)

The grilled fish was the only enjoyable dish. They are a far cry from what they used to be. Sashimi had a fishy smell, maybe poor turnover as we were the only table. Service was at best passable. When i said i don't take black sesame ice cream, they just removed it without even offering any alternative. Staff was also heard talking loudly in the kitchen. There are far too many superior places to Tamashii which is a pity as i had fond memories of what they used to be

Always an amazing experience at Tamashii. The food is out of this world - incredible quality, innovative dishes, high grade ingredients. The restaurant is beautifully designed (I recommend sitting at the counter to watch the magic happen). Last but not least, the service is simply top notch. Exceptional value given the high quality of the food and service.

A wonderful 4 hours Omakase dinner experience here at Tamashii courtesy of a good friend. The highlights of the meal was the deep fried fish which we could consume the crispy fish bones - awesomely delicious. Decadent truffles on cawanmushi and the teppan don bowl too - mind blowing ! The waiters are attentive and prompt with their table service. Chef Max came over to say hi & to check how are things going for us - nice touch !

The best omakase experience ever. Chef Max recommended a 6 course meal, and it was a perfect blend of flavour and portion. I have never had such an amazing experience at an omakase where every dish brought about surprises and a smile to my face. My favorite dish was the truffle noodle. My jaw almost dropped from the explosive taste. Impressive~ Say no more, see my pictures.
