Cedele Bakery Cafe

There's a shocking drop in the standard of desserts. My order (via deliveroo) of carrot cake slice and strawberry tart today was such a disappointment. The carrot cake was so much smaller - it's about 30% of the usual size of a cake slice I used to receive from Cedele. And the strawberry tart was completely smashed with the center melted.

We usually just get our bread from Cedele since it is within walking distance from where we live. The breads appear to be made more healthy and not sweet which are pluses for us. This time we had a late breakfast. The coffee was good enough. The eggs were cooked really well, the sausages were tasty, and the bread served with the meal was fantastic. The lady behind the counter was also the one who served us. While she was unsmiling and looked tired, she responded well each time we thanked her for serving our food and coffee. We definitely will go back there for our bread and for the occasional breakfast or brunch.

Beware their severe price hikes, not to mention they were already expensive to begin with. You get No value whatsoever here. Horrible coffee. Horrible service and all rude unbothered staff, especially Elise. Cold and dry attitudes and food. Zero manners and service disposition. Just horrible quality all round. Renovated but run so so badly. They defer you to "Call office" if you ask them anything beyond the stock they have displayed. It's REALLY bad. I will never ever go back. Super poor experiences for past 4 years!

They have the best coffee in Singapore, and also the worst coffee in Singapore - it just depends which day you go. They are terribly inconsistent. For example, some days an iced latte means espresso pourer over ice and fresh milk (as it is supposed to be) while other days they just make a hot late and put ice in it. It's such a shame because if they were consistent it would actually be one of my favourites.
