Xiao Yang Guo Kui

First time I heard about this food. Happens to chance upon this stall when I walked pass Jurong East Temp Bus interchange. It’s actually some form of Chinese pancake, non-fried, and traditionally oven baked. You can see the chef doing it on the spot, putting them into some deep oven stove (or is it a hole). Comes with different flavour, less than $3 per piece. I asked for the spicy one. It’s extremely crispy and flavorful, enhanced by a lot of sesame seed. Yummy! The camomile ice tea I bought is also very fragrant with the real flowers inside each cup, selling at less than $2. A stall which I will drop by again!

Queue started at 630pm, that tells something about its taste ! They are non Fried with a few choices of filling - red bean , Chinese pickled veggies and all-inclusive. as it is selling fast u can really have the fresh-from-the-pit flavours and warmth. The closet equivalent is naan but a lots more crispy, non oily and the taste. Recommend !

I will only give 2.5-stars to my "Happy Family" & 2-star for "Spicy" Guo Kui as they do not taste crispy nor flavour enough It could be due to my ones are not piping hot as Guo Kui dun taste good after cool... mine was slightly warm though... Think I still prefer A Kan Guo Kui @ Funan Mall instead... condiments taste better & crust crisper too...
