Parker's Bistro

Hands down the best duck I have ever had, and I have had my fair share of duck... This tucked in restaurant has the French vibe of a real Parisienne bistro. The decor, the ambience, the intimate lighting, the light music... Who would have thought that I would enjoy my dinner alone so much! The duck had the perfect balance of root cream, berries and caramelized carrots. It was garnished with crispy trumpet mushrooms and just cooked to perfection. The chocolate pudding was also different but really good! I was just really surprised that this place does not have more reviews and a bigger clientele! The few tables seemed to be locals. The wait staff was friendly and respectful. So, if you find yourself hungry in Sioux Falls SD and in need of an amazing dinner experience, I would highly recommend Parker's. Wow!

I try to come here a couple times a year and have never been disappointed. Most recently I came here for my girlfriends birthday, we had about 14 in our group. The large table in the back was very accommodating for our group size, and gave us more of a private feel for her celebration. As usual, the food was delicious; I had the scallops with black squid ink pasta, black garlic cream sauce and the flavors worked together so well. Everyone in our group seemed to thoroughly enjoy their own dinner as well, I can't remember our servers name but she did a wonderful job, even for a large group, I never felt like I had to wait for a drink or water refill, or any request. They even helped us keep her cake cool while we ate our dinner. Will certainly be back

For anyone who doesn't know....trained chefs make your scratch made food to order. This takes schooling, skills, and talent. It is well worth ever penny to come enjoy all they have to offer. This is one of the top restaurants in our city. This pic below is a beet cured Salmon appetizer with a home made cracker. There are so many flavors in just one plate! Wow!

The food was glorious! Glorious-wonderful-fantastic and slow. It took well over an hour for the food to arrive at our table after placing our orders. And unfortunately, those of us who weren't drinking any kind of alcohol never had our glasses refilled. The food was truly outstanding, but the service lacked.

Nice building and decor. A little too dark inside. Would be a nice place for a romantic dinner if they worked on improving service and served better food. CONS: Extremely long wait between appetizer and main. Spicy Tuna Napollan was not spicy and came with undercooked and grainy rice and partially cooked salmon. Pass on the Mediterranean Tapas Plate. Caesar salad was over-sauced. Took forever to get a soda and even longer to get a refill. PROS: Friend enjoyed the ratatouille. Free parking in lot across the street from restaurant. Pricey for portion size and slow service.
