Half Baked

An alright cupcake and coffee shop that also serves ice cream. Overall, there was not a great selection of cupcake flavors. Further, the icing was quite sweet, to the point of not being very enjoyable. The staff member present was not very friendly, seemed more annoyed actually, at our presence. Nothing earth shattering about it.

These were the best cupcakes we have ever tasted! We originally tried to contact a different cupcake baker for our upcoming wedding and they dropped the ball. Not these guys! They responded immediately and were flexible with scheduling a time to meet with us to discuss details. We met with one of the owners, a super chill, nice guy, and he was very knowledgeable, welcoming and put us at ease. They sent us home with a DOZEN different cupcakes to try, and an offer of more if we needed to try more flavors. We ended up having 14 dozen cupcakes made for our big day (Lemon Pie, French Toast, Red Velvet, and Caramel Chocolate Chip) and a small 6" cake for cutting. Our guests' responses were phenomenal- "The best cupcakes we've ever had", "Can I take some home?" and "These are better than the ones we had at OUR wedding... where did they come from??" So glad we went with Half Baked!

We used half baked for our wedding. The cupcakes were great but, the customer service was not the best. It was very hard to get anyone to respond to us. Usually at least a month between emails and multiple follow ups. I finally was able to finalize everything and get an invoice a few days before the wedding.

I walked into Half Baked for the first time yesterday while shopping downtown. I absolutely loved the layout of the shop and atmosphere. I ordered a half a dozen cupcakes from the young man working. He was very friendly and helpful. The easter cupcakes were a hit at the event I brought them to. Next time I would love to stay and order some coffee or Ice cream! I will be back!!

It was recently a close friend's birthday and I thought they would appreciate some wonderful cupcakes from a store I'd previously held in high regard. However, this store really threw me off. I was taken aback by the employees lack of respect and their passive demeanor. I normally don't post reviews because it's easier to discuss interactions face to face, but the management at this establishment showed me the darker side of the mostly amiable community in downtown Sioux Falls. Their ego has superseded their taste.

My son and I stopped here for a much anticipated birthday treat and were quickly disappointed. It was an hour before closing and the guy behind the counter was dismissive and rushed, even though the place was empty. There were only about 8-10 cupcakes on display, in only a few different flavors, and he made sure to let us know there was barely any selection left. That should've been our cue to leave. We bought 2 cupcakes, at full cost that I believe came straight from a freezer, and vowed not to return.
