Yikes a little bit.... Positives first. So as far as groceries go, pretty nice. Great selection, even found a good gluten free section with some great options. Mediocre review due to customer service. Two bad experiences. The deli really needs to enforce some food safety and cleanliness training in the staff. Purchased a fried chicken family meal and was quite appalled with the poor handling of our meal. I reluctantly paid but very nearly backed out of the purchase. In addition, the checkout service was quite rude. Disappointing when seems like it could be a pretty great store.

Good, fresh produce. Their bakery is great for a grocery store bakery. In the frozen section there are too many empty shelves. Employees I encountered were friendly and helpful.

They loaded my milk on bottom of cart, I get to my truck in the back 40 of the parking lot, milk is gone. I go back in, they never tried to find me, they already restocking it! They said they'd go get it for me, 10 minutes later I'm still waiting, so I go get it myself. I'm walking out the door & they got the gall to tell me that when I went to get it the lackey employee finally showed up with it. In past visits they've missed putting a bag into my cart, I didn't notice till I got home and was looking for the missing stuff as I put it away. I won't shop there anymore. Their prices are outrageous on anything not on sale anyways. Love me some Aldi and Costco!

It was just like their ads say, there's a helpful smile in every aisle.
4 stars because the store was really busy. It's not your fault, Hy-Vee! No one was at the front desk because it was every hand on deck helping customers with their groceries. They were swamped in the checkout lanes. I didn't have to wait too long and got my question resolved in a minute.

This is a joke... the market grill dining room is a CAFETERIA now... and it must be the upcoming holiday but 90% of the staff on this visit to hy-vee ( on Minnesota) were RUDE & distasteful people.. thank God my combined purchase of food didn't cost me much... but I do believe I will be spending my money elsewhere.

On my first visit I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of fruits and vegetables in the winter (better than Walmart by a lot!). I really like their meat deals. Store is well stocked with a great variety of products, including curries, mole' and other things I didn't expect to find. Staff is friendly and helpful. Store is very clean and prices are very reasonable.
