Daylight Donuts

Krispy Kreme, take a long walk off a short pier. Dunkin' Donuts, alas you no longer hold top-dog status. For a consistently perfect donut every time, Daylight Donuts is where it's at. A small mom and pop operation means you'd better get there first thing in the morning if you want any kind of selection. They create their pastries with hands like the angels. They treat each customer as family and will do what they can to fill your order. They're happy to take call-ahead orders, plus that way you know that no matter how busy it gets, when you saunter in craving those impossibly light, melt in your mouth donuts, you won't be one of those poor unfortunate souls hearing, "I'm sorry but we're all out of that." 🤗

Although the shop isn't the cleanest, the donuts are tasty and the staff are friendly. Their selection dwindles quickly, so get there early if you want the best options. However, even their "basic" donuts are good, so don't feel like you're missing out. There is a parking lot to the north. And there is a few tables if you'd like to sit and enjoy a coffee. Advice to management: spend a little time making the dining area a little nicer. Having not-current hours advertised and the trash can unkept are turn-offs to new customers.
