Jim 'n Nick's Bar-b-q

This place was a major disappointment. It's as if the staff doesn’t care, and there’s no passion in the kitchen. Whoever owns this place needs to do something. I spent $77 for my family of four, and picked up my food curbside. They weren’t busy inside so there is no excuse for the lack of quality. Our order came with a missing dinner, and 3 missing sides. After calling, I waited about 10 minutes before just going inside. Ten whole minutes to dip 3 sides and some pork. When I went inside the only person that cared was the hostess. They still gave me a wrong side. They must employ the laziest workers in Cobb. Most of the food was acceptable. The pork is dry and flavorless. The ribs were dry. The wings were good and the brisket chili was good. I ordered banana pudding, and what a waste of money that was. One tablespoon of pudding (I measured it) and a cup of whipped cream. It was also hands down the worst tasting banana pudding I've ever had (no wonder they pile it with whipped cream, to disguise the flavor). I didn’t pay $8 (two orders of pudding) to eat whipped cream. Go to Shane’s BBQ or literally any other place. It’s no wonder they have a drive thru, they serve fast food quality bbq with fast food idiocracy style customer service.

So Jim N Nick's was very tasty. Purchased the half slab of baby back ribs, mac and cheese, and baked beans. So I'm one who isn't crazy about sauce on my ribs, so the baby back was suggested, so I went with the suggestion and of course a little container of sauce was served also. So I decided to just try it, and once I tried it I did not stop eating the sauce with my ribs. The sauce was very good. The mac and cheese, of course the best side item ever and it was good also. Every restaurant have their own version of some type of bread, so their little jiffy muffins, great addition. Great service.

The last time we were here, this place wasn't bad at everything, but today was terrible. We went here thinking they might know about this pandemic thing and maybe pretend to act responsible, but they're stacking tables right next to each other. The manager didn't have any problem with it. This, even with plenty of empty tables everywhere so a party of 6, 10 and 2 aren't all next to each other in a row!! Some of the staff had masks that looked like they were made for kids, really? We moved outside after speaking with the manager, but no one cleaned the table until I asked the manager, again. This really isn't that hard. We were also really disappointed in the quality of the food too. My burger was burned and so dry... The Mac& Cheese at Chick-fil-A is better, which was disappointing. They also put seasoning on a side for a child's menu item... Which made no sense, have you ever tried to get your kids to eat vegetables? The french fries were way too salty, I mean they do realize we have salt shakers on the table right? I'm not in the restaurant business but even I know that you can add salt but you can't take it away. I'm not trying be some wannabe food critic but holy cow this was just stupid.

Ordered take out, it was ok. The ribs were good but the brisket was pretty bland which is usually not the case. I asked for the brisket chopped and looked like huge chunk just chucked into the bun with 2 of the smallest pickles. Oh yeah double check for the bbq sauce, if you don't see it in the bag, take it from me it's more than likely not in the container. We enjoyed all the trimmings though, they were yummy...baked beans, collard greens, fries.

I love that they have a drive thru, the wait time is average. The food is really good majority of the time, I prefer to go when they first open I think the food is better. I have enjoyed the brisket so delicious and the spare ribs, good collards and the mac and cheese is good. The service is good, I will return to this location.

I was disappointed with this place. Their system needs to be revised. I went inside, but was unable to place an order. The guy tells me I need to go out and call them, but don’t be surprised if I get hung up on. He said I may be able to go thru the drive thru as well. Huh? The drive thru line filled the entire parking lot. I moved my car to get in the line while I was calling. Someone did answer the phone. I placed an order told them the car I was in and where I was parked and they said it’d be ready in 20-25 min, but I needed to call back to get it. I called 25 min later and they said it was ready and move my car over to the drive thru waiting area. I didn’t want to move bc I didn’t know where the area was, so I asked if I could just come to the door. He said no, he’d come to me. He comes to the car and gives me the food takes my cc and says to go to the other side. By the time I get over there there are no parking spots so I have to stop in the middle to retrieve my credit card and sign the receipt. Wow that’s a lot of drama that was so unnecessary. The baby back ribs were dry and super fatty and wet. It taste s like they par boil the meat, then put it on the broiler at the end. I hate ribs like that. They had so many people there that it doesn’t make sense to not be serving fresh cooked meat . That meat tasted pre- prepped, over done and old. The sides were good. I had the macaroni and cheese and baked beans.
