Creatwood Tavern

Creatwood goes above and beyond with their Christmas decor. I've never seen anything like it in terms of festive cheer when dining. You should experience it at least once, it's grand their! And the food is always just as impressive. Definitely end the night with the bread pudding. Always an excellent meal when dining here.

Very accessible local Smyrna restaurant. Ample parking, and has a great floor plan. The seating on the bottom floor is arranged with good thought for extra events and movement. The upstairs is also spacious and has numerous tables. Bathrooms up and down. Excellent menu. The buffalo wings are the best, the Creatwood Burger is excellent with pepper jack cheese (get it medium rare, please...why ruin that wonderful burger). Fries with all orders are generous. You just can't go wrong for a great meal, a large selection of beers and beverages, for a very competitive price on drinks and food. Great service too.

*sigh* where to begin... I’ll start by saying this was not my first Creatwood Tavern experience, but it will be my last. I’ve been a couple of times in the past, and although the food is decent (simple bar food, nothing to write home about), the service is atrocious. As many reviewers have noted prior to this, the service is slow —glacial, in fact— and the staff doesn’t really seem to care. Servers are ill-informed and management lacks any semblance of sympathy or empathy. My friends and I decided to come here after seeing an advertisement for ladies night on the restaurant website — half price bottles of wine. We mentioned the promotion multiple times to our waitress, even made jokes with her about it. It wasn’t until after the meal she told us they were no longer running the special. We asked to speak to a manager. After showing him THE RESTAURANT’S OWN WEBSITE, he told us they haven’t run the special in 7 months (I get it... COVID) and it was our responsibility to read the menu. Which I did... online. There was no apology offered or any fix to the issue at hand. Not even a simple “we’ll fix the website and we apologize for the inconvenience.” Just a lot of eye rolling and deep sighs. To our waitress’ credit, she did seem genuinely apologetic for the miscommunication. In the future, I will be taking my business to one of the many other sports bars in the area.
