Soup Garden

DELICIOUS food!! I really underestimated this place. I thought it was going to be just a run of the mill, average, restaurant, but the food is EXCELLENT. I've tried so many different dishes from here, and literally, I have not had a single dish or food item that I didn't like. You can tell that they use high quality ingredients, and more importantly, they execute the cooking of the food really well. The Cuban sandwich is my favorite. It's sooooo flavorful and packed with meat. I also had the Mac and Cheese, and it was so good..it's a must have. I've been back to McCray's so many times. This is my new favorite restaurant in Smyrna

We were visiting town for a wedding and had lunch here on Sunday. Wish this place were located in our hometown! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious! I had the Matador Burger and every bite was AMAZING. The Bloody Mary’s were so tasty and you can tell each one is made by hand. We asked for extra crispy fries and those were also perfect. The waiters, staff, and atmosphere were excellent and the place was extremely clean. We had our 9 month old with us and I loved that the high chair we received was spotless. We will visit again if we ever pass through!

Food use to be better. It is still passable. Our lunch two weeks ago, was saved by the server, Kari. She was very pleasant and attentive. I ordered the cuban. It was good, but the mustard, tasted like Kroger brand. Service was top notch (thanks Kari), atmosphere was pleasant, and the food needs work (is currently passable).

The service was good. I ordered the southwest bowl and my date ordered the Cuban sandwich which was great. Also onion rings and fries. Southwest bowl was not really tasty I opted out for the rice and asked if there was a substitute for rice and she said no. I asked will the other ingredients be doubled in place of the rice and she said yes. The only extra was possibly more black beans. The area where I sat outside smelled of dog and much to my dismay a lady took a picture online of her dog drinking out of the same cup that is used to serve patrons. Wow well the establishment can’t control that. Onion rings were too breaded and onions were very thin. Also the fries were great.

Had an issue with an order, but the General Manager, Al, helped me out and made it all awesome. This is a great place for beer, wings, burgers, and other American/BBQ fair. We all know things are a little odd, and staffing is still getting situated to overcome the pandemic's tolls on the restaurant industry - but great folks like Al are there to make things better, and he renewed my faith in humanity that night when he fixed my issue and made it right - will definitely go back to have another tasty burger.
