Great restaurant for any occasion. They serve lunch and Dinner. Service was great friendly staff and knowledgeable of the menu. Food presentation was very good. Portions were good as well. I ordered the Rib Eye Steak Medium Rare (which comes with choice of home fries or baked potato as well as carrots). The steak was cooked medium rare Excellent steak! Highly recommend it!. Sides were very tasteful!.They serve a variety of beer/Wine. Local beer as well ( Figueroa & 805 unfortunately not draft beer "Yet"). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone local or passing through Solvang. 10 out of 10.

I went to this restaurant for the first time last night with a small group, and was pleasantly surprised. Comfortable atmosphere with warm lighting, good service, and amazing food. I had the special which was tomato soup (came with a whole slice of bacon 😍 and some toast), short rib with roasted veggies and risotto (all was delicious—even the veggies, which a lot of places can’t seem to get right), and brownie pie for dessert. At one point the owners came out and chit chatted with us for a bit. I was so impressed with this place! Also, they do have a kids menu: $9 includes the entree, side, and drink (typical pricing for around here). Lovely place, will return for sure.

The prices were a tad higher than was expected for the portions we were served. We went for lunch and weren't blown away, but we didn't have a bad experience. The staff was very friendly and quick to get the food out. The menu was pretty extensive with a lot of different choices. Breakfast looked awesome.

I and my wife were pleasantly surprised by the quality and service at the Stone Cow. My pulled pork sandwich and my wife's BLT were generously built and presented with an abundance of cottage frys. The service must be mentioned if only because there was only one server when we arrived, during the lunch rush, but she had her roller skates on and yet her personalty was as pleasant as our appietit was large.

Let me just start by saying that I'm eager to give this place a second chance. The cheese plate was SOOO yummy! The wait staff brought homemade chips to the table to give the kids something to crunch on while they waited for their food...major points there! The rest of the food was a bit "meh." Nothing new or different. We asked for certain items to be left off of our order (ex. We asked for no cheese on a kids burger due to a dairy intolerance) but these items came anyway, so the kitchen staff definitely needs to become more accustomed to special orders. We actually alerted the waiter to the cheese on the cheeseburger situation (but we made do with other things), and when a plain hamburger came back from the restaurant...it had a mouth-sized bite taken out of the burger patty!!! We cut WAY around it and fed it to the kids anyway, but this truly grossed us out. We said nothing to anybody because we felt so bad after having to send it back once already, and they could always claim that a fork-full was taken out to check for doneness. Our waiter and the kitchen staff were very loud and talkative for a relaxing time. Like I said, though, I will give it another go. Maybe it was an off night.
