Marhaba Mediterranean Cuisine

This was an interesting experience. If I judged this place just on food it would garner 4 stars. The mixed grill I ordered had succulent peices of chicken and beef - spiced just right. The beef kebab was also delicious. The service however was almost non-existent. The server answered my queries with polite to the point answers, not very helpful. Another server delivered the food after a long delay - which was understandable because the food was made fresh after my order. Once the food was delivered, nobody came back to check or inquire if I needed anything else. There were only 2 tables occupied - mine inside the restaurant and the other outside. Both tables were ignored, but not in a rude way. I noticed the lady on the outside patio walk inside to ask for her check. I tried at the end of my meal to engage one of the server in a conversation and he seemed quite friendly. Strange...

As an Arab, IMO, the food was just okay and incredibly overpriced considering. Just having a location in South Miami is no reason to charge so much for a subpar meal. More importantly, service was relatively slow and dull. Overall, we were there for about an hour and a half for a weekday lunch, with no one else around. Though they'd come around a couple of times to ask if we were okay, it took what must have been 30 minutes to be offered a check. They even picked up our plates and, still, we waited -- very strange to me. Could be a cultural thing, but there needs to be a balance between being accommodating and giving people time to enjoy the meal -- they just swung too far in the latter direction. To be fair, I'm updating this after a couple of years and things may have changed since. However, if the menu and food quality is anything like it was during my visit, I'm not recommending or going back to this place. Good luck.

I celebrated my graduation last night in this great restaurant. Well we had a sensational evening and the venue was absolutely one of the reasons for that happy evening. The stuff contributed in a gorgeous manner, the cooking was very good and my buddies were extremely joyful. We shall surely come back again for more celebrations. Thank you very much.

We got there a little before 7pm and we were the only ones there besides a couple who was finishing eating (which didn’t bother me because we were there very early for an early dinner). The waiter was not very friendly and didn’t smile at all. When we got there, he sat us in a table that had food stains. When I brought it to his attention, he seemed bothered and tensed. We finally chose a table to sit but I sensed a lot of tension in the air. I felt very uncomfortable and I was trying to tell my husband that we should leave right away. Something wasn’t right but I decided to let it go because I had read all of the wonderful reviews. Very glad we stayed even though I was worried about the waiter messing with my food or something lol but we stuck around. We got salads to start and they were delicious. Food was very delicious. We ended up having a great time. The manager or owner was very wonderful and he was very attentive. The tea was delicious as well and my husband enjoyed some Turkish coffee. I don’t think we would come back because the waiter made me uncomfortable. He wouldn’t smile at all and the whole time he looked upset and bothered. Great food but the atmosphere was too odd for me. Also, food is very overpriced.
