Souviou Wine Bar

This wine bar as its name says, is basically to have some bites and wine. The cheese and meat board doesn’t have too much meat and it came with only one stripe of prosciutto. I ordered the meat that you see in the picture, but this is not in the menu; this was improving. I understand that they are changing the menu. I requested medium rare and it was well done. Since this is a wine bar I was expecting to see a wide variety of wines and champagne, because there is also a high influence of France. The selection is too poor and is about the same brand that the restaurant export. Not so good for me that I’m a wine drinker. I try one glass of red wine, I didn’t like it. I also had a bottle of champagne and it was ok; not the best. This place is located on Sunset, easy public parking or parking on the Street. The service is ultra slow, I think that they should get more employees to be more organized. It took awhile to get the menu. The waitress never remembered anything, we ordered a glass of water like three times. Regardless, I have to say that the waitress and manager are very friendly, sweet and kind. Is nice that they had that night live music. Not my favorite band thought. I saw other people having a great time. So, this is just my opinion. Tables are outdoor.

Microwaved food from Costco, awful service, friendly servers, great wine. We were the only four people there, and we only got our food after asking for it (almost an hour later). I’d love for a place like this to survive in South Miami, which desperately needs fun, new places, but the service was just so bad. Overall, a frustrating and disappointing night. Try to go on Friday for jazz and wine, but then walk somewhere nearby for dinner.

We were walking to another restaurant in South Miami when we stumbled across this amazing wine bar. We walked in and immediately fell in love with the place. The store has a sommelier on staff that is a master wine maker and was extremely friendly. He even offered us a small "wine tasting" course on how to properly taste wine and be able to discern different flavors and aromas in the wine. A great spot to grab a glass or two and enjoy the company of friends. They bring in wine from their own vineyards and have a few tapas-style plates to accompany their selection. A great addition to the South Miami area!

French wine elaboration is globally recognized. In South Miami, we have the pleasure to taste wines and olive oils from Domaine Souviou thanks to the opening of their first boutique in the United States. Provenzal house offers a selection of tapas complemented by a variety of wines: light whites, powerful darks, sparkling, and rosés that tingle palates. We had a truffle paté, camembert cheese with pear and mushrooms, followed by a leg of lamb marinated in wine for a few hours (spectacular). For dessert, an unexpectedly delicious tartlet stuffed with guava and almonds arrived at the table. Servings are adequate for appetizers, it’s not the place for someone looking for a large meal. The restaurant is small, illuminated and adds a great outdoor seating spot for large reunions with friends for french wine and cuisine exuberance. You can also buy pates, marmalades, olive oil, honey, sardines, and other delicacies. We will return.
