There are two Costas in Southend; today I visited the one near The Royals (further down the high street), though I have been to both cafes numerous times already.
I ordered myself a Croissant and a Small Mocha. Great food as usual (I especially enjoy their seasonal Gingerbread and Vanilla & Coconut lattes), though toilets could always do with more frequent inspections/cleans. Suppose their current level of cleanliness is to be expected in any coffee shop though.

The staff at both this costa and the one by the royals work so bloody hard and, let's face it, get treated like peasants by the public. Deserve much more recognition - Would never be able to keep my cool making 101 different moccatinos with 30 onlooking Karen's waiting.

This is one of the Costa Coffee Cafes where I have yet to feel like I am not a valued customer. Their drinks are always immaculately made and the service that that staff give can only want you to come back again and again.
A particular piece of feedback for Millie who served me this morning. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and thank you for delivering a service with a smile 🙂

My place to sit and look like a sophisticated woman with her life together, when actually I'm sitting playing Pokémon Go and contemplating which video game to buy next. Love it here it's very cosy and the staff and friendly. The food and drink is also fab!

Went in this morning at about 9am. Young friendly staff, so helpful, and service with a smile. Even though someone had just arrived for a shift, attention wasn’t diverted. The young man who served me - James, was so friendly and helpful, knowledgeable, genuine, polite and happy.
Staff deserve a shout out and praise for their positive attitudes!

Nice to sit back down in a Costa. Have the prices increased? I think so. Staff polite, but they could do with one more barister as the queue can be quite long. Overall, nice.

As you would expect, the place was kept to a high standard of cleanliness, but what I didn't expect was the quality of product.
I've become a regular customer of Costa, drinking in various establishments of the chain, but this one is the best so far!
The staff's expertise is on show in the phenomenal product they serve.

Early morning sun, market day but few people in high street. Three tables outside with locals and a few inside on phones and reading papers. 3 staff were good and product was usual Costa. Nice.
