Beacon Drive In

1st visit. I loved it. Big portions, great food, and awesome people. I would recommend looking at their large menu ahead of time. They may appear busy, but the line moves very fast. All the employees seem to work together like a well oiled machine. The walls are full of interesting history and showing of all the community support. We went on a Saturday around 5:30pm and had just missed a wonderful band. I got the chili cheese burger plenty. Yummy. Don't forget to stop in to HollyWild to help support the animals. Chicken stew is addictive! Zero complaints on anything I have ordered, which is plenty.You definitely get your money's worth, with what ever you order. I drive frequently over an hour just to eat there. The people there are great, especially the man that takes the orders, he is super nice and very welcoming. Oh yea...their Sweet Tea... smh... you are not ready for that! Trust me, you will be taking a gallon home with you, the lemonade too! Highly recommend everything!💯

Overall, the cole slaw in the hamburger was different from what my fiance is used to. It works well with the hamburger. The salmon sandwich was salty by it self. It was good. There was a lot of food and your money's worthy. Employee all wore masks and are friendly. The food came out fast. Variety of food on the menu.

I used to eat at the Beacon when I was growing up. It has been at least 25 plus years since I have been there and maybe I was holding it up to something I remembered, but was very disappointed in this trip. To me, the beef hash tasted more like mashed up meatloaf. My wife had the sliced pork and it was very dry with some sort of sauce put on it. We were not able to finish our meals due to taste. A bright spot was the huge chunk of pecan pie and the peach cobbler.

Stopped here on our way to Georgia, I had the best club sandwich I've ever had, it was huge and came with loads of french fries and onion rings I could not even finish, others had some delicious chicken soup, and a beef hash sandwich that they said was so delicious. The owner and staff were so very nice, they even gave us a free dessert, a huge enormous banana split that served all eight of us. I would definitely recommend stopping by this great place.
