The mall itself is some what ran down and like a ghost town. The court yard has a few good options and they have your staple stores to shop at. I take my kids in the cold months or rainy days to play in the kid area. We have been going regularly for the last two months so they can get morning energy out (one year old and four year old). I've noticed the kid area floor has gotten worse and worse. They never vacuum the carpet in the play area. The surrounding areas are clean so I don't understand why they would let the kids area go. I clean up people's trash every time we visit so my one year old doesn't try to eat it but the floor has gotten to the point where I'm tempted to bring my own vacuum in because there is just micro junk everywhere.

(Update to my review from years ago). Security takes private photos BEWARE!* I have visited and enjoyed This mall for many years. Yes this mall has been around for a long time and it has some age to it with some empty stores like old Sears etc be prepared for the fact some stores have come and gone. The overall look and feel is still pretty clean and kept up and that’s thanks to some hard working cleaning staff. My issue that I have seen and even some stores has seen recently is with the mall “security guards” from profiling individuals and seeing other families be harassed to even stalking in the security truck individuals at night walking through the parking lot to visit other stores that remain open after the mall closes. These Guards are very poor and unprofessional. They can not even stop the same store from getting shoplifted from constantly. The CBL group needs to reevaluate the guard company to find a better suited staff and not “Blart / Fife Security. *Also I seen a mall security taken photos on his cell phone towards African American and other individuals. I reached out and the Head Guard said "I asked him to take the photo and texting me because he couldn't tell the difference if he was someone he banned our not because they all look the same and i didn't feel like driving all the way back to the mall to see if he was or not the correct one". Beware they photograph using private cell phones and text it to each other which is uncalled for especially with children or others with disabilities.
