Ezell's Famous Chicken

My first disappointment in coming here for lunch for my child and I was the price, $20 for a kids meal with just one chicken strip, a side and a dozen rolls and a fountain drink. It had been busy and I had to repeat my order item by item to the distracted cashier. To his credit, it looked like he was doing his best. It wasn't even very busy though and the wait was well over 20 minutes for this small order. They were out of both types of pie. The rolls, which are advertised as "served warm" were cold and did not taste fresh at all. Was hoping for honey butter for the rolls but they charge extra just for small packets of honey 😩 won't be back. Only vegetarian options are sides.

I lived in VA and SC for 15 years. I moved back here in 2018 and haven’t even bothered to eat fired chicken in Spokane out of fear of the disappointment and knowing it couldn’t measure up to what you can get in the South! Well… let me tell you Ezell’s is just as good if not better than any chicken spot in the South! It was crispy, full of flavor, juicy…. It was spot on!!!!!! So glad I tried it and I’m looking forward to eating there again!!! Spokane…. This is the real deal and is a must have if you love fired chicken and all the fixings that goes with it!!

First and last order from this place. Ordered and paid online. Commented to my spouse how nice it was that they told me down to the minute what time our order would be ready. Arrived about 2 minutes early. The young woman then told me it would be a 20 minute wait for our order unless we would accept a different kind of chicken (dark meat or seasoned white meat.) I responded with "so my choice is take something I don't want and didn't order or wait 20 minutes?" Yes, she said. I asked her why my online order set my pickup time to the minute and why it would not have given me the correct pickup times? She said the time is given by the computer system and they have no control over it.. I waited. Got home and even after waiting 20 minutes they had failed to include my second side of potatoes and gravy. They did include both of my spouse's sides but not mine. The chicken was blah. I did not find it tasty at all. I ate the side of baked beans and the roll and called it good. I asked my spouse how his was and he said the beans and coleslaw ok but chicken was not good at all. Obviously, I was expecting fast food but this was beyond bad. Service was terrible from online order right through to counter service. Food was just as bad. Go elsewhere. . . Anywhere. Yuck!

Amazing food and amazing workers❤️ Even when understaffed they do what they can. Sometimes I feel like people forget workers are human and not perfect. If you come here to eat, the bone in chicken is amazing! Takes a while to cook but is fresh and worth it. The Cajun fries and mashed potato’s and gravy are to die for. And the Mac and cheese and potato salad are also so fricken good. Prices are expensive but so worth it! Everything is practically made homemade and with hard work. Thank you ezell’s workers for coming in every day and doing the best you can do. ❤️❤️❤️

Picked up my to go order and had a little bite in the car before I drove off. Realized it was spicy and not regular like I ordered. Went back in and let them know it was wrong and they immediately took the food that I had just touched and eaten off of and put it back in with the food they were about to give to other customers. I was like “Wait no don’t do that I ate off that!” And so he then took it back out and threw it in the trash. There were two other workers who saw and they didn’t say anything. Soooo gross. Honestly the food here is delicious and that’s why I go back, but the service is consistently horrendous. They don’t answer their phone after like 6pm ever cause they don’t want to have to take to go orders. Then if you actually go in within an hour of them closing they refuse to make what you order if they’re out even if you’re okay with waiting 15 min for it to cook cause they want to close the fryers down early. You’re lucky if your order is right; about 50% of the times I’ve gone there (or ordered from. DoorDash) it’s wrong. I still go here cause the food is so good, but like I said the service is consistently some of the worst I’ve experienced.
