Menchie's

We stopped by today during the grand opening of Menchies. We were greeted by very friendly service and right off the bat, the smell of waffle cones, being made to order. It had a very welcoming atmosphere. It is a family owned business, as the owners two young kids were there. One of the children, the boy, opened the door for us and greeted us with a smile and welcomed us. The little girl was very friendly also and we watched as she asked another little girl if she wanted to draw on the chalkboard with her. They have several flavors to choose from and way more toppings than you could ever want or need. We will definitely be going back. Welcome to Spokane, Menchies!

Used to go here every week as a family outing. Never again. Employees don’t wear masks, don’t enforce social distancing, don’t sanitize, and when asked about it says ‘the owner understands we just don’t want to’. And yes, those were the exact words out of the mask-less employee’s mouth. They don’t care about the community at all. Upon additional inquiry, they claim the owner has asthma. The employees do not. An employee CONFIRMED the employees not wearing masks are doing it simply because they do not want to, and that ONLY the owner has a medical condition preventing them from doing so. I, personally, have a severe heat processing disorder and the masks cause migraines, heat blisters, and more. I still wear them 8+ hours a day.
