Hillyard Library Sports Bar

We've driven by many times as we pass through on our way home. Always curious what they did to the old library of our youth. We were pleased to find a rustic area with bar, tables & TV. Had a reasonably priced beer while listening to a local sing with his guitar. A big bonus for us. He had a wonderful voice. Give it a try. We're glad we did.

Great space, cool building, patio is one of the better ones around. About 5:15 pm my first time here, a band was setting up. I couldn't stay long... I think maybe they were in the middle of a shift change? 3 people I could see standing in the kitchen area from where I was seated at the bar. 2 of whom looked directly at me but didn't say anything. I sat at the bar about 3-4 min without anyone approaching. If I had more time I may have hung out longer and given them the benefit of the doubt, but I just wanted a quick drink with a friend before I had to be elsewhere. We ended up leaving without being served. I'll try again soon I will hopefully encounter more attentive staff ;-)

Linda runs a good little bar in Hillyard. If you want an early night, this is the perfect stop for you. Being in a neighborhood, she has to close at 10pm so the quiet hours do commence!! Karaoke, live music and jam sessions are held in the corner when requested and there are plenty of patio games to be played for entertainment. It's a fun new spot to hang out after a day of hard work.
