Malek's Pizza Palace

Greek owned diner style restaurant. All the classics. You're gonna order the zucchini fries. Crispy, savory, and very unique menu item. You're gonna order the gyro. It's a better than-better than average gyro. You're gonna get chicken souvlaki pita. Best item here especially at the dinner hour. Pizza is good. Much better in the restaurant with how fresh it is and the presentation (on a raised platter). This pizza does suffer from being in the delivery box. Steak and cheese is steak-um style meat. There are times I just prefer this kind of steak and cheese and I'm glad it's here. Chicken Parm is a hard pass. It's not a fried breast but rather chicken breast pieces. I think they should use chicken tenders in the sandwich instead. When they broil the sandwich the sauce and bread get scorched. Service is outstanding every time I've been here (50+ times in my life). Great spot for late night food.

I've been coming here for the last 25 or so years. It's really an institution in the area. Jonathan and his crew are second to none when it comes to the quality of their food. When I eat at Malek's, 99.99999% of the time I'm ordering the Danny Steak and let me tell you this is sandwich tastes exactly the same each and every time I've been there. What better compliment can you say? Taste on point, portions on point, price on point. Small businesses like this don't last this long unless you've got something really special and they have IT. Highly recommend this spot. As a Chicagoan I am usually disappointed by other town's attempts at authentic gyros, but this spot was top notch. Long time family owned establishment that has their recipes nailed down to a T. Also Cant say enough good things about the staff that was working the late LATE shift on this Monday. The young Ethiopian lady and her bartender were always 2 steps ahead of everything we needed. There is hope for good, late night eating after all. Wishing you all the best, but there is a reason you've stayed in business for 40 years and I lucked to see it for myself.

I’ve been eating at this place since I was in high school and recently introduced it to my kids. We got a pizza last week from Malik’s and my kids have not stopped talking about how delicious the pizza was. I Can honestly say their pizzas are the best in the area! They tend to be really busy on Friday and Saturdays so, that sometimes means a longer wait but it’s well worth the wait!
