Slack's Hoagie Shack

Slack’s Hoagie Shack located at 158 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, PA 19064 is a stellar sandwich shop! When I lived nearby, I would go quite often to them as they are the best sandwich place in Delaware County. Their Cheesesteaks are huge and very flavorful. Quality meat, cheese and bread here. Their hoagies are first rate too! Huge and flavorful. They have been doing this for a really long time and are great at it. Their fries are great too! Been going here for years. Hoagies are fresh and packed, cheeseteaks definitely hold their own is a packed market and the big suprise is their pizza, ablend of joey's in clifton heights sauce and the square pie, sauce on the top style of pica's. This pizza is a lil thicker than Pica's and just as good and travels well!

About 20 years ago I would get hoagies from here when hanging with a friend I had in Springfield. Now, I've been living in Springfield for a few years, and out of the million places available, Slack's is definitely one of the best! Hoagies, of course, are always amazing. But I love the Godmother sandwich. A chicken cutlet sandwich with real, homemade chicken cutlets. Thin and juicy. As they should be! I hate when places use chicken tenders, or big fat dry breaded chicken breast. And some Kranky Karol fries, please. Think Chickie's and Pete's crab fries, but with enough cheese. This evening, I was offered some homemade cookies. I declined, cause I didn't think I needed any additional calories, but they sent a couple chocolate chip cookies over anyway. He mentioned they were excited for people to try them, I understand why! They were so good!!!

Slacks pizza is not created like all of the rest. Their pizza is "Unique" & this makes the pizza soo tasty 😋!! Their wings are Jumbo but not weird in size. The wing sauce is very tasty. (I started dipping my pizza in the sauce) I ordered the "Works" pizza & jumbo wings with mild sauce. It was soo good & tasty!! 😋 😋 😋

My favorite sandwich shop...EVER!! The food is so good. I love everything I have tried from there and I have had a lot of options. They are super accommodating to vegetarians as well. I love the staff they are seriously the best. The location is really convenient too. If you havent had a chance, definitely check them out ASAP.
