Teriyaki House

I’ve been coming here for years and always loved it. My most recent order which was through Grubhub, was disappointing. My rolls had little fish, the vegetables were chewy and they seemed barely within date. On top of that- there was a HAIR IN MY SUSHI ROLL. I spent $46 on 3 rolls. The roll with hair was $16. It’s not my hair— I’ve been bald since September.

I had yet to eat dinner & realized it was one of the few places I hadn't eaten at yet, so I wanted to try the food. After looking through the menu, I decided to order the Steak and Shrimp. It arrived hot, had a large portion of meat AND rice, plus was filling and balanced in flavor. On top of a fast delivery driver, the food container was sturdy and I ended up with leftovers that were easy to refrigerate. To sum up: Yum.

They were open on thanksgiving! They have sushi,Boba tea and such a cute interior dining area! Service was kind and fast. The food itself tasted,very American and a bit above average. I wish they had more vegetarian options-The only tofu available was in the miso soup. I will return for lunch in the future.

I tried this place a few times, if I can be honest; the more I kept coming to this restaurant, the worse the quality of food became. The chicken became all of a sudden not so cooked anymore, their sushi rolls were decent, but little fish inside of them. I get it, there's a pandemic, it's harder to get food out here and sell at good prices to stay open. But this store is something I cannot come back to.

We’ve been to Teriyaki House before and always liked it. This time, we placed our order online with a total of $37.84. On the way to pick it up I got a text notification from my bank we were charged $56.76. When I got there, I asked why we were charged more and I was told it’s because that’s a tip. I then asked why a tip was approved without my knowledge and who would ever tip that much before even picking up the food. At that point another lady walked up and explained that’s just a hold on the card and the real total will be charged tomorrow. (A very weird amount for a hold) I brought up that it’s a weird amount for a hold and she then said they’d fix it with no further explanation. By the time I got in my car, I looked at my bank statement and the total was corrected. Seems so odd to charge such a high difference and for a very specific amount! Now reading through the comments I see it’s not the first time. Be very careful when purchasing from here! I’m honestly scared my debit card info is now compromised

Out of the handful of Chinese restaurants I've tried in Springfield, Teriyaki House seems to serve the largest portion of chicken that I've seen. Occasionally, I can't finish it and have to save some for later. The spicy bourbon chicken is amazing and they're always fast (done within 10-15 mins), even when I order online. The staff are very friendly as well. I have zero complaints and I highly recommend eating here!
