Del's Popcorn Shop

WOW! I was shipped a bucket of Del's popcorn and sweet treats from a friend today and it was incredible. The popcorn is perfectly popped. The white chocolate was my favorite, reminds me of puppy chow (Southern Delicacy) but BETTER. It also included a variety of fudge and the peanut butter was to die for. I can't wait to order these as gifts for friends and clients. This was such a special, thoughtful treat!

Review Visit: May 12th, 2015 Del’s is the poppin’ place to be. As with how a lot of these posts start off , I discovered Del’s while walking around the town I am exploring. It wasn’t on my list of places to check out because trying to list every place in every city that I can visit is nigh impossible. But that doesn’t stop me from poppin’ in to a place that I come across while exploring other places. My friend and I dropped in to Del’s near the end of our trip to Springfield. It was hard to see the inside from peering outside as the windows were full delicious-looking products available for purchase. We headed in and the first 10 seconds must’ve been what it felt like for the kids visiting the Willy Wonka Chocolate Factory. This particular shop is that feeling stuffed in to the candy store scene at the beginning of the store. The visual presence in the store was bright and colorful and full of popcorn and gifts for many holidays. We were in awe at how the store looked and how everything was presented. As the initial shock and awe wore off, we got to looking. Even after the 10 minutes we spent in there, I am not convinced that we weren’t able to visually take in everything they had for purchase. The only downside of having a lot of product out on the sales floor is that it can make it feel claustrophobic. There was a lady shopping in there while we were there and it felt tight with us 3 and the cashier. Nothing a little “ope, gonna squeeze by you” won’t fix but something to keep in mind should you come with a family or large group of people. I settled on some popcorn and we made our exit. I managed to snack on the popcorn as we walked back to my car and it was exquisite. By no means am I am popcorn aficionado but this was really good stuff. It tasted fresh and was full of flavor. No skimping on the toppings here. Does popcorn have toppings? Coatings? They do offer more than just popcorn. I remember them having fudge or chocolate-covered items as well. Basically anything you need for a gift that involves popcorn or chocolate-covered things, Del’s is the place for you. While I didn’t sample their non-popcorn items, they did look delicious through the display glass. Sadly, Del’s is only located in Springfield. There are two locations but if you don’t live nearby, you would have to make a visit also part of a trip. Luckily there is an online store available if you wish to try their stuff out after reading this review. You and everyone else will be having a poppin’ time if you show up to a corporate event/birthday party/christening/friendsgiving with some delicious popcorn or chocolate goodies from Del’s.

Seriously, they have the world's BEST gummy bears! I know, you're thinking this is a place for popcorn, but you'd be soooo wrong! This place is soooo much more! They have fudge, licorice, chocolate covered wonderfulness, and many other delightful treats. We were lucky enough to try a sampler of everything they offer and we were not disappointed! There's a popcorn there that very much reminds me of my childhood (taste like Cracker Jack's). In conclusion, this is a place you definitely want to check out or you're going to have a bad case of FOMO (fear of missing out), because this place is AMAZING!
