Zaindari Palace Restaurant

The boathouse was very well maintained. The rooms were clean. The host, Imran was very welcoming and humble. Very good hospitality overall under constraints of lake. He is carrying forward his ancestors business, we were very happy to hear that. Overall a wonderful experience. We would recommend this with all our heart to visit this boathouse when in Srinagar.

I've been traveling a lot and stayed at many places, this boat house beat them all. My top best places to stay for short or long term, the owner make you feel like you home away from home. Anything you ask for he provide. The place is really clean wish I could also put the picture so you would know how great this place is .. better then any 5 star hotels ..

Zaindari palace houseboat is a great place to stay in Kashmir. The owner Imran bhai is a gem of a person. I stayed here with my family from 24th to 28th March 2022 and it was a great stay. Initially I planned to stay only 2 days but I had to extend for all 4 days only because of Imran bhai's hospitality. We felt like staying in our own house. The house boat is beautifully decorated and having all required facilities. I am really delighted staying here and if gotten an opportunity I would like stay in this houseboat again.

Stayed here on 8 aug. Best place, isolated from the clutter of houseboats, with Lotus farming in front of houseboat. Peaceful, tranquil is what you get here alongwith greenery. It has 3 bed room/cabin, 2 bed room, small kitchenette, dining room, living room, sit out & a landing space/verandah/patio type which is the best of all. Location is the best. No doubt. Imran, the host is a gem of a person. Very humble, he is there at your beck n call. He will ensure your stay is good. He only expects you to sleep late & wake up late. Imran's Zaindari palace houseboat is trustworthy, clean, relaxing place in a clutter free area There's where you want to be.

I stayed on of the Zandari’s houseboat back in the summer of 2013 (August). Every houseboat has its limitations but what was incredible is Imran’s and his families (particularly his father’s) warm hospitality. Food served in the houseboat was delicious and was served timely. You can also get food from restaurants outside and dine in the houseboat. Location wise, it’s about 5-10 minutes shikara ride from Nehru park. Imran was also kind enough to arrange a local taxi at a reasonable rate for travel within Srinagar, airport pick up and drop, Sonmarg and Pahalgam. He also assisted in arranging Shikara at a rate lower than market rate. The houseboat I stayed in had 2 bedrooms with attached bathrooms, a dining room, a drawing room (with good books), a small kitchen and a balcony of sorts. There might be rooms upstairs as well which I am not sure of. Water is a scarce resource on houseboats so you have to careful about it, request for hot water in advance. There are some unpredictable stuff but you can be rest assured that Imran will help you ride through it. Like he helped my friend get a print-out of his flight ticket at an ungodly hour when all shops were shut down. Thank you sir for making our visit memorable and pleasant.

Truly wonderful experience staying on the houseboat for one night to end our Kashmir trip. We had booked two rooms and thus ended up having the whole place to ourselves. Very friendly Father and son team Azim and Imran who made our stay extremely comfortable. Not a single reason to complaint. Very clean, excellent tea and coffee. We had breakfast and that was good. Its a place away from the noise and hustle bustle. For some people this could be a reason for complaint but for us this was the highlight. The place is right in-front of the Lotus pond which must have been wonderful before the devastating flood a few years back. Lots of birds in the morning.
