Meyer Dairy

We started getting our milk at Meyer Dairy a few months ago, because we wanted to support local dairy farmers. We are so happy that we made this decision! The milk is delicious. I used to think all milk was the same, but then we started getting Meyer Dairy milk and I realized that there is a higher quality out there. We also started getting the heavy cream regularly, because it is so delicious and perfect for cooking with or adding to coffee. We especially like their system of using glass bottles and returning them. It reduces waste which is a huge bonus! The prices are absolutely reasonable, and the people who work there are friendly. I haven't even mentioned how amazing their ice cream is yet! It is definitely a little more expensive than store brand ice cream at the grocery store, but you are getting higher quality product. The chocolate chip brownie dough flavor is our absolute favorite! It is unique and delicious.

If you're a local, you know this place, and if you're not, you still might. It's a great little creamery that rivals Penn States without dealing with all of the students. There's always the argument that this place is better, but I find them similar enough that it's a hard argument to make. When you're talking about some of the best ice cream in the country, of course, it's going to be a tight race.

i love this place. the selection is wonderful, it is cute on the inside. i normally pick up ice cream and cheese here since it’s so close to my apartment. the only complaint i would have to make (in a constructive criticism type of way) is to look into hiring older staff members and or train them a bit more in basic customer service. i understand high school kids are high school kids but it was such bad service that there were around 5 separate customers waiting to be talked to and the staff were too busy on their phones or gossiping with one another to really pay attention to any of us. it seemed as if they were highly annoyed to be working.. which is something i get, having worked a job when i was in high school myself. they were also (what i would say was playfully) cursing one another out while the customers were standing right there (being ignored). i truly felt like i was in one of those episodes of the restaurant recovery shows where they secretly record the everyday life of the restaurant/establishment to show viewers just how bad it was before the paid host comes in to flip it around. i love coming here but don’t look forward to the immature staff all that much.
