The renovation saved this place. More specifically, the pay-per-pour, self-serve beer tap system saved this place. Post renovation the cleanliness of the place has gone up, the offer better products, they sell beer and have a front beer bar. Prior to the update, it was a gross college kid store... Now I definitely use it to buy quick grocery items and grab a quick beer.

The new beer garten is spectacular. My friends and I love the Thursday/Friday $2 beer deal. Fun and relaxed with really nice wooden tables and stools. There's a couple of older gentlemen that generally frequent there and seem to make a bit of the people uncomfortable but overall a great experience

Self-serve beer? With a great selection?? You can pour any amount you want, what an idea for tasting different types. Friendly and convenient. Great deli. Give this place a try!

They have probably the widest selection of beer and wine for the downtown area. They have an amazing meatball special. I have never been disappointed by the reuben and rye sandwich too. Additionally they have fresh fruits vegetables and other small convenience goods.

The deli rocks. High quality meat, bread, and cheeses, very reasonably priced (checkout Meatball Mondays!). The self-serve bar is also great. The only downside for me is that other people have now discovered it so the bar section tends to be busy during popular hours.
