Where to begin? With the superb setting, no that would outwit the staff - super kind, knowledgeable, attentive, hospitality at the highest rate imaginable. Food? Beyond your palet! Honestly, I do not remember any place in this planet that has offered such an exquisite, superb and highly balanced dinner (duck's paté and lamb) with accompanying superb wines from the region, (Rose from Lanzarac's pinotage with a jolly bite, and Syrah from La Motte, dark leatherly cocao and soft plumps.) Full stars if not more! Is this maybe the best culinary dinner experience in my life? Thank you so much dear staff for an evening to remember...

We had a delightful meal at this lovely restaurant this evening. The service here is super good and very professional yet down to earth. We had the warm salad as a starter which was preceeded by the tastiest bread platter on the house. For main course we had the vegetable stack and the rib eye. The steak has to rate amongst the top steaks I have eaten. Very well prepared with a delicious side of mash potatoes. For desert we had the poached pear and the banana sticky toffee pudding. Every course was delicious. I so recommend stopping in here if you are in Stellenbosch. You will not be disappointed.

We walked in without booking in advance. The place was cosy and fancy. The food was so rich and delicious. I enjoyed my slow braised lamb a lot. The highlight was the dessert, it was divine. It was not too sweet and the combination of the malva pudding and ice cream worked together splendidly. From my colleagues' words, their fish dishes are tasty as well. It was a very satisfying dinner.
