The Thirsty Scarecrow

Mooiberge Farmstall does not only have delicious strawberries (which you can pick yourself, certain times of the year), but also a wide variety of yummy jams, jellies, preserves, nuts, dried fruits, fresh vegetables and biltong and don't forget the wine section. If you are looking for half a wine barrel to use as a planter (or anything else), they have those too! Right next door is the Thirsty Scarecrow where you can relax with a piece of cake or have some lunch. There is an enclosed play area for the kids and just recently they added a sweet shop!

The "Scarecrow Strawberry Farm" has certainly changed from the original one we visited 10 years ago, but not in bad way. Great restaurant, food service, play area. A pleasure to visit. They also still have the old vintage bottles dating back from the 1990's past their prime but makes great gifts for special year anniversary presents. Pick your own strawberries and take a photo with a truly South African scarecrow!

Show me someone who don't like strawberries! What a great idea to enable clients to go strawberry picking! Great farm style stall to stop. We enjoyed it very much - couldn't take too much strawberries. Had so much fun - a great attraction for young and old. If you're not into strawberries - you could just sit and enjoy a nice meal. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very colorful and inviting! Just love the colorful artwork and "scarecrows" in the strawberry fields! What a lovely afternoon we had.
