Rome In A Bite

This modern italian restaurant is the perfect spot any day of the week for any type of occasion. The atmosphere is perfect, it feels like you are sitting in a cobblestone street in Italy, perfectly situated in the hustle and bustle of the foodie strip of Stellenbosch (Church Street). Both ladies that served us were attentive, quick and friendly. Our drinks were cold and our food was hot. Food was quick and everything was beautifully balanced and flavoursome! We had a margherita to start and then the rigattoni bolognese and spaghetti alfredo. Will definitely be back again soon.

We went for a quick late lunch and was pleasantly surprised with the food we found here in the heart ❤️ of Stellenbosch. You can see this is true Italian for the pizza 🍕 was some of the best i have had in a long time. My wife had Ravioli Pasta and again you can see the flavouring was true Italian. The rest was also above average with fast service. The only not so nice was not so much Rome's fault was the Bistro across them had to much students and noisy. Enjoy when you get a chance 😁

I was introduced to this small eatery by an Italian friend, and so was probably spoiled a bit as far as the Italian authenticity is concerned as the owner came to chat to us so it felt and sounded like you were actually in Rome. The food was really excellent. Had to eat a pasta dish as there was loadshedding, but it was really excellent. Seats on the sidewalk also gave it a distinctly European feel, and the service was also excellent. I will certainly be returning with other friends to introduce them to the restaurant, probably multiple times.
