The Crafted Keg

Out of the 5 beers in the flight, hubby didn't like even one, which is truly very unusual for him. He had trouble finding something he liked and it wasn't for lack of trying. Didn't care for the food menu, which is just personal preference. The restrooms were really gross... No table service outside. Had trouble finding the entrance (it's on the right side, fyi). Extra credit for the live music, nice bartender and sweet outdoor seating area.

My husband and I decided to check out a new spot to grab a beer and we came across The Crafted Keg. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it was a pretty fun spot. They offered ciders, wine and a wide variety of crafted beer. It’s a pet friendly establishment, so we sat outside and enjoyed playing checkers and the giant connect four. The bartender was super cool and provided our dog a water bowl without me even asking. She was also very professional, knowledgeable and fast-paced. She was working the bar solo and keeping up with the crowd. Like other local establishments, they have live music, game nights, drink specials and more. We’ll definitely be back and I would highly recommend checking this place out for a drink or a bite to eat.

Easy to find place located just 5 mins walk from the town centre, there’s plenty of parking on site too. We found the place to be friendly, and the bar was impressively decorated with some large murals. A must for the craft beer fan as there’s loads to choose from. I had the superb ‘Ziko's Rage’. A powerful 8.2% Imperial Stout by 26 Degree Brewing. A rich complex brew of chocolate & light coffee malts, with notes of sweet dark fruits, nuts and light touch of vanilla. Give The Crafted Keg a try if you’re in the area.

This is my go-to bar. I love the area and the people that go there. Bartenders are amazing and friendly, just give them a minute if they are really busy. There is always something fun going on and always good company to find. The only thing I could say against them is that they don’t sell hard liquor but I only drink beer and wine so I’m fine with that. I highly recommend it!
