Shandiz Restaurant

Had Bakhtiary (cubed chicken and lamb on one skewer) which came with saffron rice. Added garlic & chilli dips and a nan, all for under £20. Meat beautifully spiced and tender and nan was light and fluffy. Very nice pint of draught Poretti to go with it too. Often get something to eat before the match here and never disappoints. Service is always good and the restaurant has a very relaxed atmosphere.

Ordered a basic chicken and lamb biriyani knowing that its a Persian restraunt. The taste was very different than the traditional Indian biriyanis. Plus as a side flavour was some watery potato curry which when mixed with rice tasted really good. The chicken pieces were very tender and soft. Overall I liked it.

Great Persian food. We had the lamb shank and a few of the mixed grills. The chicken was a bit dry but the rest of the meat & lamb shank was delicious and succulent. Dips could have been a bit larger as we had to order a few more. The baklava and tea at the end was delightful finished off a great meal. Decor is nice inside and very clean. Staff were so helpful and friendly.

10/10 for customer service, Tasty food, loved the Persian/Iranian tea ☕️ & baklava. The lambshanks were delicious. The chicken sheesh was a bit dry but the lamb was nice & juicy. The toilets were very clean staff very friendly! The deco was really nice & presentation was 10/10 Will be visiting again’ Things they could improve - Up to date menu. They don’t give any sauce/condiments with the mix platter off meats/ sheesh which is needed, and what other places like this usually do. The sauces were £1 for one however the portion size were very small so had to order more.

Totally in love with the ambiance and food Good quality and quantity If you are a person who wants to eat more quantity and tasty food , try shandiz . You can Choose any dish With rice or chips or naan or salad . I tried fish with rice and mixed grill with naan . Both are filling . Heavy and tasty. And the male staff who takes the order is fantastic . Made us select the food and he is brilliant interacting with us . Nice place . I have been there twice . Will go again .
