Kalamaki Greek Grill Restaurant

It may look like I ate 3/4 of the meal but no this was the portion I got, no sides by choice. 3 of these cost me $52. My nephew could finish 2 of these plates and he'd still will be hungry.... he's 7. I asked them to give me hot sauce on the side and they're so cheap they gave me one hot sauce amounting to a few tea spoons of sauce. I understand saving everywhere you can buy come on. Update: talked to someone who I believe was the owner or the manager. Super nice guy even though I was somewhat hostile. He offered me a full refund by which I was surprised because I don't think most restaurants willl do that, taking into consideration that the food I returned is now garbage.

We were recommended to Kalamaki by a friend who raved about their portions and great flavours. But I have to say, for 60$ the Greek Intro Piatela did not impress. The first thing we noticed when we opened the container were the two incredibly small, thin pieces of lamb (see photos). Next we noticed that there was a very large portion of rice compared to the rest of the items (which tasted an awful lot like Uncle Ben's...). And finally, it being greek food, we were expecting to get more than THREE greek olives in the order... two in the salad and one on the tzatziki. The spanakopita was enjoyable. I simply don't think the meal merits a 60$ price tag. My three stars go to the staff for preparing the order in a timely manner, the business for having a lovely website and easy-to-read menu, and the fact that it is a local restaurant. I simply think there is room for improvement in terms of value.

Omg 😁👌 this is amazing, Definitely will come here again. Gyro wrap/beef and pork... So yummy. Fries with some special seasoning and amazing dip sauce.... Garlic. Greek salad amazing and big portion. All this is huge and delicious. Orthodox brother did amazing job. Highly recommend this place. I would give 10🌟

We purchased lunch for everyone at the shop I had to explain to 5 guys that it was not a joke and we would be ordering pizza to actually feed them. Extremely disappointed with the portions of their lunch special. It would be the perfect for my 1 year old nephew not a adult. I attached a photo so you can see why everyone thought it was a joke.

Just wow!! Some of the best souvlaki I've had in my life and my mom is Greek. Also, I'm talking about the vegan souvlaki platter I tried for my first time here. Souvlaki is well-marinated and cooked with the perfect flame-char, potatoes with the zingy lemon flavor done right and the rice with tons of vegatable flavors baked in. Really blown away at how good the food is, and angry I only discovered this place now after living in South Surrey for over 3 years. A must try!!!
