Coffee is exceptional, but the vibe here is great too. Lots of options on the menu for drinks and food, and the staff are great also. It’s a nice place to work if you have the option of remote and want to get out of the house. A warning - their spicy chai is more heat-spicy than you expect. But it’s amazing so if you can take heat, try it.

This is my current go-to for locally roasted beans. I'm newer to pulling my own shots of espresso, and am currently exploring a variety of beans from different brands, regions, vendors and roast levels. Republica however continues to be my mainstay; great selection of beans, seasonal and single origin options rotating and knowledgeable staff. I switch up my bags, but Diabolique is my favourite (its what they use for espresso in store) and I always enjoy returning back to it.

It's been a while since I've been to Republica in person. It was always my favourite coffee shop in the lower mainland, but life has been busy. Their coffee bean delivery service got us through COVID, and now that we finally have time in our day to go to the Cloverdale location in person it was great as always. Their coffee is spectacular, and the location is great. I love downtown Cloverdale. If I could give 10 stars I would. The staff is friendly, always willing to answer questions or give their recommendations, and the Peaches and Cream Strudel is to die for. I've come so many times in the past, and I will be back again.
