2 stars because they gave us the wrong order and my food had gotten cold while waiting for the correct order for my friend. We always enjoy bubble waffle cafe but this location is odd because it doesn’t have small quail eggs in the noodle soups. Also surprised they dumped the incorrect order in the food court trash can right in front of customers.

The most sincere and friendly owner I have ever seen in Burnaby. Heartwarming service and authentic Chinese/Asian food do exist at a food court. The portion is generous with very reasonable price. Good job! Their bubble waffle is also worth lots of credit - mean crisp with perfect sweetness, don't hesitate to try. I'd def come back. All the best ♥️

It's been a while since I've been here so maybe the chef has changed or management. I used to live coming here as the standards are usually pretty good amongst the restaurants. I ordered a laksa noodle with pork jowl and cuttlefish balls. That's pretty much my usual order. Today's meal was subpar tbh. The flavour of the laksa wasn't as rich and flavourful as before and the quality of food seemed to have diminished a little since the last time. Could just have been an off day for them? I do see that they're always training new people at the till when I eat at crystal mall so maybe it's just a big turnaround of employees at the moment? I will be back as I do enjoy the food and it's a good deal for all the food but it won't be my first choice.

I can't believe I'm doing this, but it has to be known. I can't believe I found one of the best tasting Hainanese chicken rice in a random strip mall. I kid you not. For less than $15 CAD, I got a decent amount of Hainanese rice, an iced lemon tea and a black sesame bubble waffle. I swear this wasn't me on hangry mode, but the food was actually one of the best tasting dishes I had in a LONG time. Yes, the wait was a bit long than what I would expect, but considering that I went near closing time, that Crystal Mall was pretty dead when my party got there and I didn't care what I was going to eat, as long as it wasn't too foreign to my palette, Bubble Waffle Café was pretty spot on. Dirt cheap, awesome delicious food; a cheap foodies dream.
