Peaceful Restaurant

Came in cravin some sweet n sour ...got the lunch special. Sweet n sour chicken. Paid extra for the thick noodles. First thing I noticed was this place had 0 music. I could hear everyones phones n conversations. Water was served in a paper cup...was never offered a pop or beer...etc...water was warm at best. No ice... Server was nice. Checked on me once but did disappear towards the end as I stood alone in the middle of the restaurant with noone else. Could of walked out without paying. Noodles were firm and tasty. Not much sweet n sour sauce on the chicken. Im a saucey guy and lov a saucey chicken. I was also not blow away by the amount of chicken I got...7ish pieces at most. For 13 bucks plus tax I really wanted more chicken! Very average experience...not bad...not great...nothing that would make me return or crave their food.

Usually the food is amazing, tonight not so much. The crispy orange chicken was soggy and cold, the peaceful beef roll was cold and extremely greasy, Dan Dan noodles were luke warm. If you drive go to the original location on broadway. The service wasn’t very good either. She forgot a few items for other tables and never came to see how the food was or if we wanted refills on our beverages.

Ordered the pork & veg handcut noodles, beef rolls and XLB’s. Everything was delicious! The noodles are so fresh, the beef rolls crispy with just the right hit of hoisin and the XLB’s perfectly steamed and accompanied with ginger black vinegar. The restaurant is clean and bright and conveniently located behind Save-on. Plenty of parking. Will definitely visit and try more menu items soon!
