At Cwm Ivy Cafe & Crafts

What a delightful little hidden gem 🤩 We had just enjoyed a stretch on Broughton beach and were coming back to Cwm Ivy with two thirsty dogs when we saw this lovely cafe. Delicious tea and cakes, and plenty of dog bowls and water. But the view! Beautiful to see right over the salt marshes. Wonderful service, and super friendly. Thanks 👍

We had lunch while enjoying both the food and the stunning view over the Loughor estuary. This is a small and cosy cafe in a lovely location. The postcode on their website was accurate which is not a given for such a remote location. The food was good quality with decent gluten free options. The coffee was very good.

Tiny café but very busy with lots of outdoor seating. Very few gluten free options. You're ok of you like a jacket potato but no sweet things. Their kitchen is tiny so possibly no space to store gluten free food safety? Had the soup which was delicious (and gluten free) luckily it was tomato soup but any other day it'd be different.

Great place to stop when out walking or having a day at the beach We stopped here today after walking out to see the cast iron lighthouse. It was a very welcoming place to stop with lovely chatty people serving us nice looking homemade cakes and tea. Sitting outside overlooking the bay was a great way to finish off our walk...

Dropped into the @cwmivy as we were passing after a 2.5 hour walk. The promise of a beautiful view and some cold drinks pulled us in. We had a coffee, a couple of cold drinks and a tea. The coffee was decent but the tea was a little tepid (hence the drop to only 4 stars), that said it was well presented. By all accounts it was a busy day for them, (based on the conversation we heard from the staff) and the wait for the drinks was not too long, but when you have the view that they do from the garden it's nice not to be rushed. The staff were young but polite, and there is scope for this place to be really busy in the summer months. Check it out if you're not in a rush, enjoy the location, but most of all enjoy contributing to the local economy. I think if visited this place on a beautiful day out of season you would put it down as a 'real find'.

Lovely setting and views. Brilliant stop off after our walk on the beach. Was quite popular and we were able to sit with the dogs looking over the marshes. Had a lovely hot chocolate and my mum had a tea. They served panninis and ice cream I believe and probably other things! We would re visit if back in the area. Also a fab free car park just outside the village. Short walk down hill to the village.
