Gourmet Cafe

Unbelievably good. Walked in for lunch this afternoon and was blown away. We ordered the mapo tofu and shredded pork with hot peppers. Best Chinese we’ve had in the UK so far, and we’ve tried dozens of restaurants. It was the perfect level of spicy for us (meaning we were wiping our noses the entire time, just the way we like it). Spicy, flavorful, fresh- I was full but had about two times what I usually eat. If I’m in Swansea again, I’ll definitely stop by.

Cash ONLY!! The food was amazing, we had crispy deep fried prawns with shells on which makes it the highlight of our trip to Swansea, so much so that we visited a second time the next day just to repeat the same crispy prawns. The second night, the prawns weren't as crispy or fresh as the first night but the restaurant was busy and the server was not around so a friend of the chef was helping out in the restaurant. Bubble tea could be better though.

I agree with the good reviews on here. They led me to have dinner there tonight. Wonderful deep fried prawns with Garlic, shell on; chicken chow mein, excellent noodles, and stir fried Chinese vegetables. Everything hot and good, and enormous portions. Despite being hungry, took home quite a lot. All for £29.00. London eat your heart out!
