Sushi On Stanley

Sushi is good & really fairly priced but do not order if you’re in a rush. Ordered 1 veggie set and have been waiting 45mins & still waiting.. Update; they left half my order next to their sit in water refill area, tempura part & rice was soggy & cold. Threw out, sushi part was good but overall we waited 70minutes for something that half was inedible. Probably won’t be back for a while. Shame, because the quality sitting in, is really good!

One of the best sushi places I've been to. Everything was prepared perfectly and was really fresh and tasty. I ordered, spicy dumplings and the spice level was perfect for what I like personally, salmon sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken rolls, a medium sashimi plate, karaage chicken salad, and miso soup. No complaints. The staff are very busy preparing and taking orders so don't be shy to approach them for what you need. Great sushi experience. I'll get photos next time 👌🏼

It's always packed in the night but authenticity wise, you can't expect much. It was very difficult communicating with the staff since they were all distracted polking on their phones and when they did turn their attention on you, they couldn't understand you anyway. Would I return? Nah... Sushi train in Oxford Village are so much better, not to mention the staff are actually Japanese and offer helpful and friendly customer service. Don't waste your money here...

I ordered two salmon salads (one cooked salmon at $17.60 and the other sashimi at $15.20) as well as a salmon roll ($5.60) and a spicy tuna roll ($7.20) through Uber eats. I was EXTREMELY disappointed at the quality of food and the portions. The salads were basically a garden salad from A packet with about 5 small pieces of salmon. I counted two thin slices of cucumber and a couple of shreds of carrot in one salad, apart from that, nothing else but lettuce!!!! Also, the sushi rolls were tiny!!! There were 5 mini pieces of each which would amount to probably half of a normal sushi roll you buy at any good Japanese. I could not believe my eyes. I will never order from sushi on Stanley again.

Sushi for great value. Excellent selection of sushi and other Japanese food (appetisers, Bento sets, teriyaki, etc). Place is a bit small so be prepared to wait, or it people generally get takeaway. Also, portions are on the smaller side so if you are used to bigger portions, you might need to order more. IMHO, value is on the teriyaki Bento sets, and make sure your add some 50 cents or $1 single "sushi rolls".
